Funding Study
This is a useful module for students planning to study or do training once they leave school. The module explores student loans, apprenticeships, and working while studying as three options for funding study. However, if students already have a clear idea of what they want to do they should talk with a careers advisor to identify study-funding options specific to their intended pathway, or individual circumstances, and focus on these instead.

Investment Options
In this module students need to analyse two personal financial investment options: KiwiSaver and one other option. This module focuses on KiwiSaver, shares, bonds, term deposits and managed funds. Teachers could also explore the benefits of other forms of investment, such as buying a property, with their students.

Economic Data, Issues, and Analysis
This module helps students learn about processing and presenting statistical data and explains how the data sets are interrelated. The data relates to two economic issues; inequality and climate change. The explanations relate to the data and their interrelationships while using economic models and/or concepts. Extrapolation of data needs to be justified by the analysis of the data and the interrelationships.

Questionnaire Design
This module supports students developing their understanding of attitudes, beliefs and values that create their financial identity.
Financial identity is explored through understanding the questionnaire-based study which Dr. Carla Houkamau and her team at Auckland University undertook with their study on The Māori Identity and Financial Attitudes Study (MIFAS). Dr. Houkamau provides students with expert insight into the process her team has used to develop their questionnaire and conduct their survey. It also gives students an opportunity to build their capability to design their own questionnaire of interest.

Statistical Reports
In this module students learn to evaluate a statistical report with explores New Zealander’s attitudes towards responsible investment created by Mindful Money. Throughout the activities based on the report will ask students to investigate connections between gender pay and investment gaps. The module will build students skillset to critique statistical data and analyse statistical reports to be able to comment on features and findings of a survey relevant to the report’s purpose.
