NZC pilot 1 for Y9-10

The pilot has finished and the learning resources are currently being evaluated prior to a nationwide release in Term 1, 2019.

The feedback we receive from teachers and students during the evaluation will be used to refine the resources prior to the nationwide release in February 2019.

You can now register for the second pilot for New Zealand Curriculum for years 9-10, or the first pilot for Māori Medium Education.

We value your participation and contribution. It’s important the programme works for schools and can be adapted to different learning environments.

Pilot period 1

The pilot period is an opportunity for schools and teachers to trial and review the financial identity glossary learning package for years 9-10 before the final package is released early next year. The package covers topics including debt glossary , managing my money, saving and goal setting.

The evaluation process

Sorted in Schools has partnered with Evaluation Associates. All teachers and students participating in the pilot will be asked for their feedback on the learning resources and the user experience. Focus groups and interviews for teachers and students will be held with selected schools.

How to get started

The first step you'll need to take is select which subject you’ll be teaching. The learning resources have been embedded into the curriculum across English, technology, maths and statistics and social science. Next download the website guide and, or watch the instructional video below that will give you step-by-step instructions to accessing the pilot resources and have a read of the pilot FAQs.

Scroll down the page for supporting information, as well as posters, and logos that schools can use on their websites to demonstrate participation in the programme, and email footers that can be used in signatures. Happy teaching.
