Statistical Reports In this module students learn to evaluate a statistical report with explores New Zealander’s attitudes towards responsible investment created by Mindful Money. Throughout the activities based on the report will ask students to investigate connections between gender pay and investment gaps. The module will build students skillset to critique statistical data and analyse statistical reports to be able to comment on features and findings of a survey relevant to the report’s purpose.

Economic Data, Issues, and Analysis This module helps students learn about processing and presenting statistical data and explains how the data sets are interrelated. The data relates to two economic issues; inequality and climate change. The explanations relate to the data and their interrelationships while using economic models and/or concepts. Extrapolation of data needs to be justified by the analysis of the data and the interrelationships.

Statistical Inference This module allows students to learn about gender pay gap, with a particular focus on how this may affect New Zealander’s contributions to their chosen KiwiSaver fund. Students will explore about several factors which contribute to the gender pay gap and make sense how these can attribute to the gender investment gap. Students explore these factors and make predictions through using statistical inference skills.
