Primary/Intermediate school teachers

Our resources support teaching and learning for Years 9-11, but we do have activities and learning experiences suitable for primary and intermediate students.

All our resources are aligned to New Zealand Curriculum Levels 4 - 8 and support the learning areas of English, maths, social sciences, digital technology and health.  They have been tested with Year 8 children, so if your students are at that level, they can easily participate.

Get started in 5 easy steps

Create practical lessons and learning experiences by following these easy steps.

  1. Check the MOE financial capability progressions for Levels 1 - 3 to see what learning outcomes are suitable for your students.
  2. Watch the video ‘Teachers new to financial capability education’
  3. Choose your approach. We have teacher planners to implement financial capability using a thematic approach or within a subject area.
  4. Create a personal profile, which gives you access to a personalised dashboard. It allows you to save and share resources and assists in lesson planning.
  5. Browse the Sorted themes teaching and learning resources section, or select from the suggested resources below to build a teaching plan.

Build your confidence to teach financial capability with our free PLD programme
