The pathways you can access in this area will help you get started with teaching financial capability. 

Introduction

The Sorted in Schools pathways are a tool to help you get started with teaching financial capability in your school. Each pathway focuses on a different way of teaching financial capability to suit a wide variety of approaches. 

Get started

  • If you are new to teaching financial capability watch the video to get a good overview of the programme.

  • If you want to plan lessons using themes (e.g. debt, saving) for whānau groups or option cycles, have a look at pathway 1. 

  • If your school prefers a cross-curricular approach to teaching financial capability we recommend pathway 2. 

  • If you want to know how to teach financial capability using several themes, have a look at pathway 3.
